My Chronicles of The Daniel Plan, Week #3
Today, Monday, January 13, 2014 begins week #3 on The Daniel Plan. Wow. Two weeks ago I started detox. After 10 days I went on the basic DP way of eating which is nothing processed, FRUITS, 50% vegies, 25% protein, 25% whole grains. None of the whites: sugar, flour, pasta, rice or potatoes, dairy. Coffee/Tea with caffeine optional.
My summary of the last 2 weeks: I didn’t know I was feeling so bad until I started feeling so good! Here are the immediate changes:
I crave nothing
I get full easier
I sleep better
I wake more easily
I don’t wake thinking “must have coffee”
I have more energy
Not one headache
Less bloating
Face less puffy
No stomach pain (had almost daily prior to DP)
Todd has lost a total of 10 lbs since we stated 2 weeks ago today. I have lost 4 lbs.
If anyone is thinking of doing this let me encourage you to depend on God’s power. Todd spoke about this at church yesterday.
If you are serious about improving your life and your health you need to invest in a time preferably in the morning having a devotional time. If this is new to you just spend 10 minutes reading the Bible, meditating on God’s word, write down what you are learning, and then talk to God in prayer about it.
